Struggling actress Katie McGovern (Mary Steenburgen) is approached by the mysterious Mr. Murray (Roddy McDowall) and invited to an upstate New York mansion to film a screen test. Likewise, I cannot fathom what possessed Steenburgen, then a fairly recent Oscar-winner, to take on something so tawdry and amateurish. I watched this on a 65 inch screen and have no complaints.
