Food was magnificent, the owner and staff were so welcoming and were...We stumbled across La Fourchette and boy, were we surprised!

Thoroughly recommended. The menu changes daily and is written on a chalkboard. We also had a chocolate dessert. Limited menu but delicious dishes and well presented.

Only 6 items on their deliciously fixed menu and between the three of us we are everything :) There are only 8 tables and they don't turn tables so you have to call ahead.

We went in the off season, so the town and restaurant was quiet. The Coquilles St Jacques (scallops) and rouget (fish) were delicious. Starting the meal with a bottle of wine of the day, we quickly went over the menu.

Guests interact directly with the unassuming chef who seems to really enjoy cooking for you. Of the couple that owns it, the wife spoke perfectly English and described the whole menu to us. The venue is a fusion of slightly jazzed up ‘olde worlde’ with 1920’s jazz bubbling in the background in...Went on Monday, October 28th when most other restaurants in town were closed. Perfect appetizers, outstanding  mains and the best parfait. Lovely glass of fizz to local organic fizz to start reasonable size of a starter , possibly not big enough to share and mains were...After struggling with eateries in Amboise for a couple of days (most places are closed Sunday & Monday) we managed to get a booking here for the Tuesday night.
