Things that could be stopped but the main characters of the movie seem to be some brainless sheep. She is welcomed by the Mother Superior (Carolyn Hennesy), but soon Mary learns that there is a scheme in the convent to take the babies from the pregnant women. Was this review helpful? Je gebruikersnaam is voor iedereen zichtbaar, en kun je later niet meer aanpassen.wil je heel duidelijk nog de schijn te geven van geesten/duivelse I thought this movie was great all the way thru except for the ending.The ending is highly unbelievable .The main character thru out the film isn't very bright to begin with given all her futile attempts at causing disruption and escape attempts ,yet at the end she suddenly turns into some kind of master mind where she manages to engineer all the nuns to turn on the Mother Superior .Even more unbelievable after just giving birth to her baby out in the bush she manages to get the strength to kill one of the nuns with the babies umbilical cord.Up until that point the movie was superb thru out. The plot has some holes that don't make sense.. like Paula, is she a victim a willing participant? Het is het verhaal over slechte bedoelingen van nonnen in een klooster op het Amerikaanse platteland van de jaren '50. Cause I mean at times she seemed reluctant and guilty. there's plotholes and a whole lot of suspense building to the end but then we dont get a resolution.

In the 1950s in small-town Georgia, a pregnant young woman named Agatha seeks refuge in a convent. 19 out of 38 found this helpful. there are some plot holes and the ending somewhat really unrealistic,but the tension is incredible throughout all film.Personally I liked it a lot. It doesn't take much longer to reveal to us that the nuns r short of cash, their donors r limited, they r very extreme in their torture methods but somehow they do have a doctor always ready. BI can definitely say for myself and my friend who watched it we were definitely cheering for a victory for poor Mary (and eventually Sarah) in the end. The writing is terribly dumb and dull.
