To add insult to injury - as an alternative to their beautiful Lakeside Sushi restaurant - we got recommended a Sushi Bar that is a hole in the wall and could be found in any suburb (maybe brilliant food but terrible setting). Restaurant is good and the Sushi bar is also very good. This was going unti 4am. Confirmed via phone the day prior to arrival whether all was fine and i was told it was. Room service could have been used, but we didn't have dining facilities in our room and would have to have sat on the bed which would have meant we couldn't see out of the window to view the gorgeous lake and the mountains beyond, which, on that evening, were bathed in the light of the setting sun and the remains of the greyI always stay in this hotel whenever I visit Neuchatel. Receptionist very friendly and helpful but but she was alone at the desk most of the time with lots of people to check in. Breakfast was average and what one would expect from this category of hotel. Location is by the lake, few steps away to inclined railway that take me to main station and situated close to city center Place Pury and big dept store at Maladiere. Breakfast was pretty good and freshly made.
